Deputy President: ACUHO-I SAC
Jacob started his career as a qualified librarian in University of South Africa (UNISA) in 1994. He proceeded to be an administrator in the office of student support services (UNISA) focusing on student representative council. He then joined Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)as the head of student affairs in the Kwa-Mhlanga Campus responsible for financial aid and bursaries, sport, student governance and extracurricular. He performed well in this position and was recruited to a residence manager position in the same institution.
He served in student housing as a manager for 4 years and ultimately joined a private company called PostNet Polokwane Group where he served as a general manager for 5 years. His passion to serve students led him back to higher education where he was appointed as a director student life in North-West University Vaal Campus from 2009 till present. He is in charge of the residence life, sport, student counseling and development, radio station, art and culture, student campus council and campus health clinic. His strong believe in conflict management and student centered thinking in higher education has made him one of the successful and progressive student housing practitioner over the years.
He has served ACUHO-I SAC for one term and subsequently elected as the Vice-President. He supports and believes in personal growth, healthy living and academic success for all students and staff he is serving.
